Description

 As the Atlassian Jira System Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, customization, and maintenance of our Jira platform to support our project management and collaboration needs. Your expertise will play a critical role in optimizing workflows, enhancing user experience, and ensuring the smooth operation of Jira within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize Jira instances to meet the specific needs of different teams and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design efficient workflows and processes within Jira.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security settings to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Create and manage custom fields, issue types, screens, and workflows to align with business processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Jira performance, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide end-user support and training, helping teams understand and effectively use Jira features and functionality.
  • Maintain and manage Jira plugins and add-ons, evaluating new tools to enhance system capabilities as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest Jira features, updates, and best practices to continually improve the platform's utilization.
  • Collaborate with other IT and development teams to integrate Jira with other tools and systems in our technology stack.
  • Regularly perform data backups, migrations, and upgrades to ensure the stability and scalability of the Jira environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Atlassian Jira Administrator, with an understanding of Jira's architecture and administration concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira administration, including configuration, customization, and workflow design.
  • Experience with Jira plugins and add-ons, as well as familiarity with integrating Jira with other tools and systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) is a plus.
  • Jira certifications (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-200) are desirable but not required.
