Description
The Jira & Confluence Manager is accountable for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making and improve organizational performance. They design and maintain information systems, develop reports and dashboards, and collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Education degree & technical experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or a STEM related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator, or Atlassian Certified Confluence Administrator, are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, IT operations, or customizing Atlassian tools.
Technical knowledge/Accountabilities
- Manage and optimize Atlassian tools deployment and integration.
- Assessing and planning for organizational needs and scalability.
- Act as the primary contact for Atlassian tool queries, resolving issues and ensuring effective user utilization.
- Lead initiatives to improve toolset functionality while staying updated with the latest features and best practices.
- Maintain documentation on system configurations and procedures and conduct training sessions to enhance user skills.
- Prepare for and follow up on audits, addressing compliance gaps, and implementing audit recommendations for Atlassian tools.
- Establish and maintain long-term strategies for compliant management of Atlassian tools, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
Experience
Developing role- and permission-based protocols, as well as data retention and deletion strategies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Analyzing existing business workflows and overseeing the management of Atlassian plugins (consult, install, configure, maintain) to guarantee the delivery of superior business outcomes.
Establishing a centralized source for understanding the objectives of each JIRA/Confluence project within the organization and overseeing software licenses.
Collaborating with users in the initial stages of deploying new solutions, addressing any issues, and providing JIRA and Confluence training and access authorization.
Administering the configuration of JIRA/Confluence projects and associated elements such as workflows and interface elements.
Developing and maintains scripted customizations and providing developed tools and workflows.
Keeping track of security updates and alerts provided by Atlassian.
Analyzing and assessing the uniformity and impact on performance of solutions.
Ensuring maintainability of the code base.
Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
